Associate Technical Professional

Summary:  Entry Level training/limited experience position.  The Associate Technical Professional will be assigned a mentor of Technical I or Technical II status that will oversee and guide him/her through training to ensure they receive proper quality training.  This training normally takes 6 to 9 months before being eligible for promotion.  Training timeframe may vary based on previous experience and at the Mentors and Managers discretion.

 

Essential Job Functions and Accountabilities:

 

All essential job functions and accountabilities below are part of a training process and are overseen by an assigned mentor to ensure Associate Technical Professional fully understands job responsibilities.

 

  • Observation and hands on training of equipment functions to understand its capabilities during the first month of training.
  • Perform tasks to learn how to complete basic frac designs, including fluids, prop-pant, volumes, and additives based on pump schedules.
  • Performs tasks with Prophet data acquisition software and NRG hydraulic fracturing pumps, blenders, and hydration units
  • Performs tasks with Accufrac data acquisition software and Stewart & Stevenson fracturing pumps, blenders, and hydration units
  • Performs basic tasks to set up and operate computer modeling (FracPro) and data acquisition software
  • Performs tasks to set up and operate Web Ex.
  • Performs basic fracturing calculations such as frac gradients, Hydrostatic Pressures, Flush volumes, etc…
  • Prepares and distributes post job reports and post well hydraulic fracturing summaries
  • Performs tasks to ensure quality assurance of all on site materials.
  • Performs tasks to track material delivery rates for quality control.
  • Communicates with on–site Customer in a professional manner
  • Performs basic tasks with the Excel Job Packet

Qualifications

 

Education and/or Experience

 

  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Science or equivalent 2-3 years field experience or military technical training
  • Hydraulic fracturing experience preferred.
  • Must have strong computer skills with a good knowledge of Windows.
  • Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, technical skill, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
  • Sensitive to confidential information.
  • Able to work and communicate effectively with all levels of co-workers, clients, and external contacts.
  • Able to learn company specific applications.

 

 

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

 

  • Valid Commercial Operator's license or the ability to obtain one and a satisfactory driving record

Working Conditions:

 

Works in varied environments and geographical areas and sometimes, in what may be considered harsh environments. Exposure to extreme temperatures, wind, precipitation, in addition to working at heights and chemicals may be experienced when working in the field or plant locations. They must be available seven days per week when on duty and is required to be reachable by telephone whenever the need arises.
