Warehouse Coordinator

Summary:  The Warehouse Coordinator is responsible for maintaining an effective flow of chemicals through the Warehouse to the active Frac Pads. They oversee training and supervising Warehouse personnel to ensure essential work is being completed in a safe and effective manner.


Essential Job Functions and Accountabilities:


  • Complies with all company safety policies and procedures
  • Promotes ethical behavior in all aspects of the business and leads by example
  • Communicates clearly by answering, comprehending and making phone calls or sending email
  • Conducting warehouse applicant interviews with a member of HR when open positions need filled
  • Be able to learn and use NAV in order to order chemicals and non-inventory items that relate to the chemical shipment process
  • Ensure chemical manifest are correctly fill out with all essential details and ensuring the vehicle abides by all DOT regulations in relation to chemicals
  • Monitor and track movement of chemicals to and from frac pads and coordinate with Operations and Dispatchers on specific movements
  • Maintain a good working relationship with chemical vendors as well as USWS Technical Managers and Operations in order to negotiate pricing and availability of chemicals
  • Coordinate with USWS Technical Professionals and Sales Department on chemical requirements for future jobs
  • Works closely with Receiving and Accounts Payable Department on purchasing and invoicing issues
  • Work with the Maintenance Department to deal with any issues that arise with vehicles and coordinate a solution; if issues cannot be fixed in house, they are escalated to vendors
  • Must be up to date with vehicle maintenance to ensure they are fit for duty, which includes: tank cleaning, inspections, ensuring transports include spill kits, fire extinguisher, fluids are properly filled, etc
  • Ensure all SDS (Safety Data Sheets) books are up to date with current information
  • Conducting monthly physical inventory counts of all chemicals in warehouse
  • Assist the Training Department in procuring SOP’s (Stand Operating Procedures) for the Warehouse
  • All other duties and responsibilities as assigned


Supervisory Responsibilities


  • Oversee Warehouse personnel which includes: approving time and attendance, maintaining schedules, completing performance evaluations, coaching employees on company policies and procedures and ensure compliance, and present progressive discipline when necessary
  • Ensure all Warehouseman are in compliance with safety regulations in regards to PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), proper chemical transferring techniques, following SOP’s, and proper tote strapping methods
  • Ensure all Warehouseman are properly trained on SDS current information so they understand all safety hazards on the chemicals they are working with
  • Must be available or on call 24/7 when emergencies occur with chemical movement




Education and/or Experience

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 0-2 years’ experience in chemicals or inventory for a service company
  • Knowledge of frac equipment preferred
  • Ability to work rotational schedule, including long and/or occasionally irregular hours
  • Knowledge of computers including basic Outlook, emailing, Word, Excel, NAV and be capable of navigating back and forth and through multiple folders
  • Ability to multitask in a stressful environment



Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:


  • Clean MVR or  the ability to obtain a satisfactory driving record preferred




While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to maintain friendly and effective contact with employees, vendors, customers of the company, members of the community, and employees of other affiliated companies, departments or divisions.


Working Conditions:


Occasional exposure to extreme temperatures, wind, precipitation, in addition to working at heights and chemicals may be experienced when working in the shop or yard. They must be available seven days per week when on duty and required to be reachable by telephone whenever the need arises. Must also limit access to the dispatch office to essential personnel to provide a professional atmosphere.  Willingness to wear all necessary PPE when required.
