Chief Financial Officer
Matthew Bernard has been the Chief Financial Officer since August 2015. Mr. Bernard is the President of Gulf Offshore Logistics, LLC., which he joined in 2007 as Executive Vice President/Chief Financial Officer responsible for finance, accounting, human resources and information technology and was promoted to President/Chief Financial Officer in 2010. Prior to joining Gulf Offshore Logistics, LLC., Mr. Bernard served as Corporate Controller for Edison Chouest Offshore from 2002 to 2007 and was responsible for financial reporting, forecasting and management of the accounting department. From 1992 to 2002, Mr. Bernard worked for Ernst & Young’s audit practice in the New Orleans, The Hague (the Netherlands) and Houston offices, rising to the senior manager level prior to his departure. Mr. Bernard holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Nicholls State University.
Vice President of HSEQ
Richard Hoffman is our Vice President of Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality (HSEQ). Mr. Hoffman has over 25 years of experience in the HSE field, with the last 16 being in support of the energy industry. Prior to USWS, Mr. Hoffman was Northeast Region HSE Manager for Rockwater Energy Solutions. Mr. Hoffman has received extensive training in root cause analysis programs and has a proven track record in successfully implementing safety culture as a fundamental operating tenant.
Mr. Hoffman is a member of The American Society of Safety Engineers, The National Safety Council, STEPS of PA, and other professional organizations. He also serves on the users advisor board for TapRoot and is on the planning board for the 2016 OSHA Oil and Gas Safety Conference. Mr. Hoffman received a Bachelor of Science degree in Natural Sciences and Mathematics from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Mr. Hoffman joined USWS in June of 2014 as the Director of HSE.
Vice President of Technology
Jared Oehring is our Vice President of Technology. He has extensive experience designing hydraulic fracturing equipment from his time at Stewart & Stevenson, where he served as Engineering Manager over multiple international product family lines. In addition, he is a premier expert in electric-powered hydraulic fracturing, having designed the world’s first fully electric, fully mobile well stimulation fleet fueled completely by natural gas. Mr. Oehring has published multiple articles on the subject highlighting the electric fleet’s significant reductions in emissions and noise, and he is a frequent lecturer on the environmental benefits of electric-powered well stimulation.
Mr. Oehring earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Brigham Young University, and a Master of Science Degree in Engineering, Mechanical Design, from Kettering University. Mr. Oehring has held multiple leadership positions in the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, including vice president. He is also active with the Society of Petroleum Engineers. Mr. Oehring first joined USWS in 2014 as Director of Technology.
Vice President of Human Resources
Dean Fullerton is our Vice President of Human Resources. Dean has over 30 years of Global Human Resources experience in aerospace and heavy machinery manufacturing, railroad transportation and energy with most of his past 10 years in oil field services. Dean brings a broad array of skills including recruiting, employee relations, employee development and design and administration of cost effective and value-added employee recognition and benefit programs.
Prior to coming to US Well Services, Dean led Human Resources at both Green Field Energy Services and Flotek. Dean also spent several years at Thermo Fisher Scientific and at Sundstrand Corporation as well as Amtrak Corporation. Dean has consulted with several Fortune 500 companies in the areas of compensation, policy and executive staffing.
Dean has his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from The American University as well as post-graduate course work from George Washington University. Dean has his Certified Compensation Professional and Senior Professional in Human Resources designation. Mr. Fullerton joined US Well Services in February, 2014 as Director of Human Resources.
